Arthur's men galloped across country seeking their prey. The three boars sought cover near Llyn y Fan Fawr, in the Black Mountain. Grugyn tried to get away from the pack of hounds, but he was forced to stand and fight. He swerved through men and dogs and fled towards Ceredigion (13). Huntsmen flushed out Llwydog, and forced him into the open but Llwdog fled towards Talgarth (14).
