Huntsmen caught up with Llwydog near Talgarth and compelled him to make a stand. The beast injured many men, including Hir Peisog, king of Brittany, the beast gored him through the heart. He also killed two more warriors, but other huntsmen attacked with arrows, spears and swords until, exhausted with the fight, Llwydog the Killer was put to death.
